History of Online sudoku
Free online sudoku started on the web way back as the game became more popular and site owners wanting to make their vistors happy started adding them to their websites. Today you can find different versions of them on most websites.
Now while there are many free online sudoku games to choose from the problem is most of them, well to be frank are just crap. Either they are difficult to use, or they lack any real functionality.

Super Doku

Prime Doku
N×N grid where N is prime. Generally constructed with polyomino regions,
Maximum Su Doku
A type of puzzles that has the maximum number of clues needed to allow a complete solution.

A sudoku puzzle that has a unique solution.
Satisfactory puzzle
A sudoku puzzle that does not need to be approached using trial and error.
Purely numeric puzzle

Du-sum-oh
5×5, 6×6, 7×7, 8×8 or 9×9 grids with irregular shaped regions and minimal clues. They are are also known as Latin Squares Puzzles,Squiggly Sudoku, Jigsaw Sudoku, Irregular Sudoku, or Geometric Sudoku.
Shi Doku
Four 2×2 regions.
Go Doku
5×5 grid with pentomino regions. Go is Japanese for 5.
